Well after we said goodbye to all the kids we moved to the Seattle side of the Puget Sound on July 30th. No more ferries! Yay! It took me many phone calls the the last couple of weeks to find a place with any spaces open. Very busy time of year. Finally got in at the Seattle/Tacoma KOA. Like most KOA's it has lots of kids & not a lot of roomy spaces.
Not complaining...glad to have any spot at this point.

This empty site is where Richie & Tammy are supposed to be. They were supposed to meet us here on the 30th, however their MH would not start when started to leave their camp site in Yreka. A tow truck came to tow them to Medford, Oregon to a International repair shop. When the tow truck got there the MH started so it just followed them to the shop. They waited there overnight for a new starter to come from Las Vegas. No electricity ... no air conditioner. Big deal... it's only 106! So hopefully they will get here tomorrow. :)
But we finally started getting closer. When we saw the long line of cars we knew we were there.
On the way back from Rainier we saw this motel made out of cabooses. It was a cute idea but..
I'm glad I have a MH to stay in. It looked a little tacky. Yuk!

However, Donald did have a bit of a confrontation with this picnic table while he was pulling into the WRONG site. He kinda got the bench stuck under the MH & drug it along as it scratched one of the compartment doors. Oops!
I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants. Not that the scratch was funny but that it was starting to look like it may be a Murphy's Law kinda trip.
He wasted no time polishing the afternoon away. Can't even see it. Glad we have the proof because I know none of you would believe me since he is a professional driver. :)
Well Rich & Tammy did not get here the next day. They got as far as Salem, spent the night and in the morning MH started but would not keep running. Hmm... Murphy's Law?
What can go wrong is gonna????
What can go wrong is gonna????
So we decided to visit MT. Rainier this afternoon since we already paid for our spot for the night and backtrack tomorrow back to Salem to see what we can do to help. At first I thought our GPS just thought we wanted to drive around and see it at a distance.
After the long hike up the mountain.......
I sat down to take a rest. (And if anyone of you believes that..... I have some ocean front property in Arizona I want to sell you.) :)
Ya.. Donald was tired too!!
I checked out this guy in the hat that Donald gave our friend Liz before we left. If he knew she was gonna give it away we would have kept it.
Looks like they cut down a really big, old tree so they could give us all a little history lesson.I'm glad I have a MH to stay in. It looked a little tacky. Yuk!
While hooking up to leave the KOA Donald was talking to a guy down the road. (Imagine that!) He told him we were heading to Canada. He said "Do you have a brake system on your car cuz you do know you can't get into Canada without it right.?" Ok...maybe we will never get to Canada. :( (Murphy's???)
